Gulf Coast Gastroenterology enthusiastically welcomes Dr. Edmundo Justino, M.D. to our GI practice serving Brazoria county and surrounding areas.
Dr. Justino is fluent in Spanish, having completed some of his early medical training in Monterey, Mexico. He also speaks Portuguese and French fluently having lived in Portugal and France..
Board-certified in Internal medicine, Dr. Justino specializes in gastroenterology and hepatology. His comprehensive medical training has afforded him a diversified experience in management of gastrointestinal diseases. He has advanced training in gastrointestinal motility and enjoys many aspects of gastroenterology with a special interest in liver disease.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Because of his interactions with his patients at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Justino received the Patient’s Choice Award for Maryland two years in a row.
He believes in partnering with each patient in order to achieve the best outcome possible and continuing to educate each patient in the prevention of certain gastrointestinal and liver diseases. He strives to address each symptom by carefully listening, examining, testing and advising each patient in an effort to resolve their particular problem in a compassionate and respectful manner.
